I hear the phrase sweetheart used a lot, but not sure what it means when refering to a guy. Thanks.

A sweetheart is a guy that is usually very good at remembering and noticing the little things. He is the guy that notices you have a sore throat so without you asking you find a package of Halls on your desk for you. He is really good with the small stuff, not just the big stuff. He tends to be caring and considerate beyond belief and he warms your heart with how sweet he is;)

Sweetheart represents the kind of guy a girl likes. So it depends on the type each girl likes. It's like asking what each guy means by "the perfect girl".

It's just a term of endearment, basically the same thing as 'sweetie,', 'hon', 'babe' ,etc. It doesn't necessarily mean anything.
