Just like human babies sleep alot during the day.it takes them awhile to get adjusted ,try putting the dogin its carrier or bed area at the same time every night .it is good to carrie train your dog when a puppy.Put the dog in carrrier after each trip outside to visit mother nature, and do allow play time .And just like with a child a schedule is important, take a puppy out more often then a biggrer dog,the smaller the dog,the smaller the bladder.it is best at first not tolet the puppy sleep with you ,use a carrier or gated area, for one thing, the dog might wet on your covers if it sleeps with you,and the dog needs to know it has its own specific place to sleep.Of course later on he can get on the bed ,but it is best not to start it.

I guess puppies are like newborn babies which at times get their days and nights mixed up.... Try keeping him up more during the day play alot and walk to tire him out , the at night put a wind-up
clock under his bedding the sound (ticking) resembles their mom and he may sleep better... Worked for my pup years ago.........

Just like human babies, puppies get their "clocks" messed up and it's your job to teach your puppy that daytime is awake fun time and nighttime is sleep time.
Play, talk to, etc., with your puppy during the day and at night, teach him/her it's not play time and when you have to get up and do business with puppy, keep talking and interaction to a minimum.
PS- one month seems a bit young to be away from mommy and siblings... is he/she orphaned?

do your best to constantly wake him up only let him have twenty mins naps keep him active as much as possible through the day, but do realise he is only a baby like a newborn human, for about week of doing this he will realise when he gets peace and settle into a routine of normality hope this helps.

Because it is ONE MONTH OLD. It should be playing with the mom and littermates, and they often play at night.
