ooohh... very romantic!!! Does she know that you like her? If she does, and you think she likes you back, dinner would be wonderful!!! Here are some helpful tips:
1. Candlelight!!!
2. If it's nice outside, do it outdoors.
3. Gourmet food.
4. Flowers!!!
5. Make sure there are lots of hearts and pink and red colors.
6. Chocolates in a nice box???
7. Maybe you should hire a waiter...
8. Make sure at the end of the meal, tell her you love her and kiss her on the cheek!!!
9. Have fun and go with the flow.

Good luck! I hope this helps!!!

Do something different, dinner is good, but really show her your interested; What is her favortie thing to do?
Take her somewhere where she absolutely feels like you went out of your way for her, like something out of the ordinary, ever see the bachelor on TV, romance her off her feet! Ask yourself what would you like? Candles, help if you deciede to go the home route! All over the room, maybe flowers on the tables. And a small trinket of your affection, like a necklace or bracelet.

Honey I told you I wanted something pretty!! LOL
Making dinner is a very wonderfully romantic and personal valentine!!Great idea, just make sure she isn't allergic to anything you make, while it is a fun memory, as far as romance goes, an emergency room visit kills it.

Spoil her with the favorite dishes you know that she loves. Add a VERY HUGE bouquet of flowers with loads of gourmet chocolates. Use your best china/silverware.
Because of the long-term frienship, it will be easier for you to tell her that you are in love with her. Valentine's Day was a good choice on your part to tell her your true feelings.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Pass on Valentines Day. Start today and make every day special. You don't need one holiday set aside to say I love you or show how much you care. It's a daily process.
