It will not come back you will have to go catch it and if its not used to the out side it will get sick and die. I had one that i used to hang his cage on a tree branch on nice days, I forgot him out one day and went to work *this is when i was 18,* So i called home and asked my mom to bring him in before it started to rain and get dark, She forgot to do it and when i can home he was still out there it was 11pm he wound up getting sick over night and died the next day! I still miss him to this day!
Good Luck i hope you find it!!

Look for your bird.

Place the empty cage outside with food and water just in case the bird is nearby. Make sure the bird can get into the cage

Alert the local animal control and vet's offices that you have lost your bird, sometimes found birds are brought in to them.

Run an ad in the paper.

Post fliers around the nearby neighborhoods and at the pet stores about your lost bird.

I wish you luck.

Generally and sadly, the other wild birds in your area will kill it. If you live in a cold climate, it will probably die before the other birds get it because it is a tropical bird and can not survive the cold. Try looking for him right away.

Sorry to say, I dont think it will come back.........I did that with a budgie I had in the summer. It flew out the glass sliding door and kept on flying.........I never seen it again.

Perhaps it would be easier to pour yourself another rather than look for it. someone else might have taken a sip from it.
