I was best friends with my best friend for 17 years and then we suddenly didn't talk anymore after she became artsy and into drugs....maybe you should evaluate your daughters current friends, ask her why they don't speak anymore and if she doesn't want to tell you this is perfectly normal. trust your daughters instinct shes probably a bad seed. Neither of you are wrong your just being a good parent and she is just being a typical daughter. I would maybe secretly call her mother and ask what is going on between the two of them.

You are wrong. She is your daughter's old friend, and your daughter has made a choice to not be friends with her. You should respect that. If you don't support her in her decision, just leave it be. Your daughter will figure things out for herself. That's what growing up is about.

You are entitled to be friends with whomever you choose but your daughter may feel you are being disloyal if you are friends with this girl. You could maybe agree to see her away from your home and tell her you will not discuss your daughter or their argument.

It depends of what they're fighting about. Ultimately, it's your daughters decision. I wouldn't go contacting her ex-friend behind her back. Your daughter should be your priority, not her ex-friend.

well it depends on what is more important to you, being honest with your daughter or continuing to see this girl... follow your heart it will always be your best guide.

respect your daughters request. If time heals all wounds, they will be friends again someday.
