So i'm considereing getting my Fun Zone waxed for the very first time. I'm a little weirded out by having a stranger pouring hot wax on such a private area and then ripping out all the hair but i don't think a home kit is the way to go. Here are my questions...
1. What should i look for in a salon to do this?
2. How much does this usually cost?
3. How bad is this gonna hurt...really?
4. Are ingrown hairs a problem when it starts coming back?
5. How long will a wax last vs. shaving?
6. Binki wax vs. brazillian...?
Thanks everyone! feel free to add in your own experiences too!

Look for a salon that uses a lot of sterilization and sanitary techniques. They should never double dip with their stick in the wax, should have paper covers on beds, etc.

The cost will depend on what type of wax and the place you live. I recommend going around to your local salons. You don't necessarily want to go to the most expensive places, but you probably don't need to pay a ton of money either.

It doesn't really hurt too badly. It is like having your eyebrows waxed... just... in an awkward place lol! Avoid the first week before and after your period because you will be the most sensative then.

When it grows back you may or may not have ingrown hairs depending on your skin. You can avoid them by using a loofah glove to wash in order to remove dead skin and avoid getting ingrown hairs.

A wax will often last 4-6 weeks while shaving will last 2-4 days.

As for brazillian vs bikini, a bikini will get rid of the hair on the outsides, often leaving a long strip down the middle. A brazillian will get rid of EVERY hair. It will also make it a bit more painful. I suggest thinking about why you are getting it and deciding on whether or not a brazillian is necessary.

First, the woman waxing yo has seen about a million va j j's in her lifetime as an esthetician...I doubt she cares...so don't you worry. So spread them and pull your skin tight!
2. Just make sure the place is not dirty...
3. It usually cost anywhere from $25-70. My lady cost me about $30 and that is a great deal!!! She's also an illegal immagrant but she gets the job done!
4. It hurts and I've been getting them sine I was 18 and I am still not used to it but I keep going back.
5. Ingrowns were a problem for me at first but somehow I don't get them anymore. I exfoliate everyday with a scrub.
6. Waxes normally last from 3-4 weeks
7. Why waste money on a bikini...get the brazillian and get it all waxed.

1) Don't skimp on this one. the really nice places are super clean and the girls know what they're doing.
2) It REALLY varies. You can pay up to a 100 bucks at a nice salon. Anything less than 40 bucks, I'd worry (it does depend on where you live too).
3)It's gonna hurt like a son of a gun.
4) Depending on how coarse your hair is, but usually it's not a problem.
5)It also depends on your hair type, but it lasts around 4 weeks. It will grow in later and later the more you do it.
6)No way to Brizilian. That's a whole other ball game and many people find the regrowth stage with the Brizilian UNBEARABLE.

hope that helped.

I had my first Brazilian ever last wednesday and no it didn't hurt. It wasn't unpleasant and it looks great now. I did have 2-3 days of a bit of irritation but used a blend of Bio-oil with tea tree oil and it looks fine now. It's a bit sore just after the waxing but otherwise I thought it was ok and will absolutely go back again.
