Hate is a natural consequence of the reality that all living things have to compete for a limited number of resources. In fact, in abstract form, hate is nothing but denying others something so that you may flourish.
Animals (including humans) survive in similar groups. You don't see Lions and Zebras "cooperating". So much in the same vein, blacks and whites are not alike and any fantasy idea that they are natural co-companions is silly.

It is definitly enchoraged by some families with racism, sexism, etc, but hate is a personal choice.
You have to ask yourself if you can accept someone the way they are. If you can do that, you won't hate. You may feel sorry for someone, who is obviously messed up, like Hitler, and wish they didn't do the horrible things they did, but hate is a choice.

Many religious leaders who teach children to hate scientists, hate homosexuals, and hate people of other faiths. In some instances - our religious texts where hate and discrimination run rampant. And some of the blame falls on certain parents - who teach hate to their children by exemplifying bigotry.

Ignorance breeds hatred. Our parents teach us to be suspicious of certain people, our peers only associate with certain people, we believe those who are not with us are against us. Hate is taught by everyone and everything, we just need to learn to cover our ears.

I can't speak for everyone, but nobody taught me hate. I developed it as a result of the combination of a good upbringing, observation of the world around me, and independent thought. Not to mention that it's genetically hard-wired into our instincts. Segregation is a part of nature's order.

Exposure to individuals who, though their actions, make us hate them, IOW, getting out in the real world and seeing how things really are.

There's lots of hate in the bible.
I have to wonder if it's an inborn thing, and we don't have to be taught.
