What would you do if your child bought a dvd promoting jihad and martyrdom?

I would take it away from him and explain how goofy that whole thing is. And how it is just brainwashing - really the only way they can get people willing to kill themselves is through brainwashing that finally overrides our innate sense of self-preservation. I also would point out that a person can accomplish much more good in this world by staying in it and working for what he believes in than by taking the uneducated and cowardly way out.
I would encourage my child to do some independent thinking and use some logic. Jihad and martyrdom can't survive the bright light of logic and independent thought.

Yup. Open your eyes people! The islamofascists want your kids to strap on bomb vests and kill women and children. They are evil and need to be eliminated from the face of the Earth. That is why President Bush is leading the War on Terror, and those who oppose him might as well surrender and convert to islam, don a burqa, and forget about freedom. The imams will tell you what to think.

Whether you want to admit it or not, we are in a religious war between the west and islam. It will last until one side submits to the other. The islamofascists will not submit until they are dead. Think about that before you call for "talks". They do not see "talks" as resulting in an end to this war. They see "talks" as a stalling tactic, while they further spread their cancer into western society through immigration and reproduction. They know this will result in an ever-weakened enemy, that will give less and less resistance to their ultimate goal of the west's defeat and islamic domination.

I would ask my child where she or he got something like that. I would also meet this person who gave the child the DVD to ask them a few questions about there beliefs rather then assume they are a bad person just for believing in something different then what I believe.
You know what they say about assume it makes a a*ss out of you and me.

I would let them watch it. When I was a kid (13 or 14 years old), I was introduced to the Anarchist Cookbook. I sought it out on my own, and I read it. It's interesting. I'd promote anyone to educate themselves on any given subject if they think they're ready. Just because a kid watches a video that promotes something doesn't mean s/he's going to turn around and do it.

I'm a MUSLIM, and u know what does the QUR'AN tell us about terrorists who kill innocents and spread terror and fear?
They will be thrown in hell, no matter how many they killed.Killing one soul is like killing all humanity.

In Qur'an, Islam orders us to protect souls, care for the weaks, to sacrifice women and children with ourselves if necessary.
