I went and just bought the HP 9950 scanner from Page computers. I copied a few slides and it works primo. That is one reason I bought it for.

You have to buy a scanner to transfer them to a computer. BUT, you should be able to go to a store and then they have the equipment to put them on a disc. This way you can transfer them to a computer. OR got to a camera kiosk, stick your disk in, and print the photo you want from it cropped and sized the way you want it, right there.

So for a couple of negatives go to the store. If you happen to maybe later on need to buy a new printer. See what the cheapest scanner that will print negatives will cost. I saved $167 as the $499 regular price for that scanner was high for me.

You'll need to get a scanner that has a slide & negative scanning option.

I have an HP Scanjet and have used it to scan 35mm and "odd" size negs. It works well in most cases for large or abnormal size negatives because of the removable holder.

you may purchase numerous flatbed scanners which have a slide attachment. (you should be sure that you inspect the specs of the scanner earlier parting consisting of you money as no longer all scanners have the needful slide scanner attachment.)
