my club was assessed and all i know is that only a small percentage pass (10% of clubs in england) im with the AMA and it was one of their officials that graded us.

they didnt officially comfirm it but unofficially they said that we had as we sored 10/10 which is rare.

i know that were are to get a grant from the national lottery now but is there anywhere i can find more information about it?

thank you so much in advance

sorry... people are confused. all i know about the red kite award is it is like your club being assessed to see if its doing a good job, so its not ripping anyone off or playing unsafe so to speak. its an award that is given to the best of the best club wise.

i just wanted to know more about it.

thanks again and sorry for not being clear enough

this award entitles us to get a large grant fromt he national lottery, enough for us to buy a building to open up our own dojo rather than having to rent out a room at the local sport center.

thank you so much for your time reading this.

any little bit of information is most helpful.

My guess would be that it has to do with AMA certification.

If there is an AMA flag, I would also guess that they may have
a different flag for schools that received a perfect score in their
certification process.

e.g.; Red background instead of a black/white background.

Either that or a school get some sort of a pip next to their name in the organizational listings if they are a high quality school.

Hi there

Sounds like some new government standard type thingy?

Generally there a good idea as they weed out all the people who give martial arts a bad name but there's a down site.

Governing bodies especially in the UK can be a real pain! Politics and profit when it comes to martial arts don't mix and in the end its always the art itself that suffers!

You know the sort of thing. Expensive memberships, having to buy there own insurance and so on.

Martial arts governing bodies in the UK were set up so that people at the top can make large amounts of money for doing very little.

So yes its good and no its bad!
