False. Read it to find out if there is Truth in it.

Why You Can Trust the Bible
Some people say the Bible is unreliable, and their views have gained wide acceptance. Thus many today dismiss what the Bible says as untrustworthy.

On the other hand, what Jesus Christ said in prayer to God promotes trust: "Your word is truth." And the Bible itself claims to be inspired by God.—John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16.

What do you think about this? Is there sound basis for trusting the Bible? Or is there really evidence that the Bible is unreliable, that it contradicts itself and is inconsistent?

False - most humans are constantly reading (billboards, signs, books, etc.) just because. That does not mean you believe what you read; some people read the Bible because they DO believe in it, others because they just want to be knowledgable of what's there, and even some who read it so that they can form educated opinions against it.

No, to read the Bible, or the Koran, or the Kabalah or a book on Wicca, Paganism, Druidry, or whatever doesn't mean you believe it, it means you respect it enough to be curious about it and want to read more. I am a wiccan, and I read the Koran, the Bible, The Idiots Guide To Judaism, ect. I have great respect and interest in all religions, yet I am and never see myself not being a Wiccan.

I read it. That doesn't mean I believe it. The Old Testament was pretty scary in how God had whole communities wiped off the map. Some of the stories were entertaining, but I don't believe them any more than I believe Greek Fables.

False, because you must believe in God who reveals Himself in the bible.

You can read things and still don't believe it.

If you read the Bible and believe it, you must believe that Satan believes it because he probably knows it better than most of us. But if he believed it why would he think that he could triumph over God, hmm?
