Why don't the losers ever blame God?

On the contrary, I have seen a football game where the winners were theists and they did not thank God either, on the other hand, the losers said, "We lost because it was the will of God, and His will is done on earth as it is in heaven!"

the winners won because they played good, not because god made them win. the losers lost because theres no second place in a football goame. whats the problem?

In most of the rest of the world its a given, atheist or not. Can you imagine any European leader thanking god at the end of a speech or asking him to bless France or Germany?
