Maine Coon. I currently have a calico and a black cat. I gave my maine coon up to a friend when moving across country one time. He had such personality like I've never seen in a cat. It was awesome! All the other maine coon's I've met have tons of personality and are friendly :P I love my cats but they just don't compare and I miss my maine coon lots and lots.

A cat by any other name....
I don't think of cats as what breed they are. Pure bred means absolutely nothing to me. I know that some people choose cats for the way they "look," & that's okay, I guess. Except that, the nature & personality of a cat has virtually nothing to do with the breed. I also have a black cat, a stray. (As all my cats have been.) Yet I do have opinions about dogs. In my experience, "working" dogs have seemed to be more intelligent & loyal. But isn't it all subjective?

I could not afford a Bengal or I would have purchased on of those, but I have had several different breeds of cats and my favorite has been my little Himalayan. She is a doll, not only the most beautiful cat I have ever owned, but the sweetest, friendliest, most tolerate cat I have ever known.

I love all cats. I have a Maine Coon cat and she is beautiful. I have her two kittens also (now full grown). Only one looks like her though. The father was a regular tabby cat. Her other kitten is solid black, short-haired - like her father.

Manx... The cat for dog-lovers... LOL!!! Manx are an amazing breed, they are highly vocal with their owners, very playful, and very VERY energetic. They love playing fetch with the little rabbit-fur mice and will repeat the game for an hour if you have the stamina to keep up with them. I don't recommend a pure-breed Manx due to the possible spinal problems that can occur because of their tail, or lack-there-of. They can be breed with a regular Calico and still have the little stubby tail but less chances of spine problems.

My favorite breed is the kind you get from the SPCA. If there were no strays or unwanted cats that need to be rescued I'd pick the Devon Rex.

I just love my big ol' short-hair tabby from the humane society. He is gorgeous, has beautiful markings and eyes and best of all, a wonderful personality. I wouldn't trade him for any purebred cat in the world.

I personally like mutt cats (domestic short hairs I think) I had 3 have 2 now for many years their lovable and pretty smart. They seem to each have their own talents. Full bread cats or as I refer to them as (gormet) cats seem to be stuck-up and to them selves. But I love all cats and animals...........
