Let him meet people of a discriminated minority he doesn't hate,
or let him see one of those WWll movies wherein the cruelties against the jews are pictured in a realistic way...
If neither of those works then your brother has proven to be awfully immature - yes, even for a 12 year old - and might need more convincing methods.

If my daughter brought this to my attention about her brother saying this....I'd have her let her friends know they have my permission to whoop my sons behind.
As for why the use of the word...it may come from school and hearing that word said too often. I know both my son and daughter have told us it is used freely in their rural schools but only by those of color (unless you want a beat down). Hard to stop a child from repeating what they hear and trying to explain that only certain minorities can say it. Double standards seem to be the way with that word.

I remember when I was younger my stepbrother said this to one of my friends and I popped him a good one. I was watching him at the time so I had the upper hand to discipline him. You should contact your parents and let them be aware of the situation. Hopefully with good faith this will be the only time you or anyone will have to discipline him of this wrongful language.

as much as Sydney says she's is 0.5 black i don't have faith her. i think of she only says that to stereotype biracial females as self haters of there black area. If something she is only white.

this is so unacceptable , and he needs to learn this, I would ask you parents to attend to this, and if that doesn't work I would wash his mouth out with soap every time he says that word

well if he was my little brother and he was so rude,I'd pop him in his mouth.I didn't say slap him,but I'd pop him in his mouth just enough to sting his rude butt.every time.
