I have used Conair in the past and I don't think it heats up hot enough to work well. I have very thick curly hair so after I straighten my hair I usually use a curling iron to flip the ends or curl it all. I have been using Hot Tools for about 6 years now and I definately think they are the best. Search online for one if you want to get a good deal. I just got a new Hot Tools Straightener for 21. online.

Personal experience has lead me to conclude that Gold n Hot works best. I have had many a Conair that broke down way too easily.

I use hot tools. My hair is very thick and it handles my hair pretty well. Well worth the $50.

Go to a beauty supply house and get one the professionals use. They last longer and work better. Out of the three listed I would say Con air only because it is the only one I have heard of.
