They are very active here. I don't personally care what they believe, and they have a right to their opinions. However, as an Episcopalian, I'm a bit weary of people thinking that all Christians are Fundamentalists, because that's simply not true. But because Fundamentalists are so vocal, and are so often covered by the press (which seems to hang onto every word coming from Pat Robertson's mouth, regardless of how ludicrous), I find that, as a Christian, I'm often accused of holding all kinds of beliefs that I actually find appalling. The only solution I can see is to become a bit more vocal, myself. For instance, I should be willing to counter Fundamentalist beliefs by stating openly that all Christians do not share those beliefs, and in fact, are quite opposed to many of them.

I live in ontario canada, and there is not much church attendance here. The travesties committed by the Anglican church, when they snatched the native indians away from thier homes and families, and tried to brain wash thier culture right out of them, while molesting and abusing the children, they claimed they were trying to help. The Law suites are mounting, its not just the catholic church, the whole lot has blood on thier hands. I think canadians are pretty well sickened by the whole afair. (Get out of her, if you don't want to share in "her" plagues, and drink from the same cup.) Up here there is not to many spouting off anymore, thier mouths have been silenced by thier sins. Canada is now a gay country, thats all who go to church anymore. Religionists are a sick lot.

Yes they are. They cut down so many beautiful old trees just to expand their parking lots of their mega-churches. The won't let any celebration of holidays like Halloween to go on in the town. They litter the ground and cars with chick tracts. They harass people by knocking on doors. Some even will vandalize your car if you have a Darwin fish or some sticker they don't like.

I have scared them off for the time being. But I'm sure they'll be back.

a certain group of people living in a certain place is a TRAVESTY??? Boy, you must have a pretty cushy life if that's all you have to worry about- you could move to a more liberal city if you don't like your neighbors- but people like you will always find something to dislike about the people around you no matter where you live

My Aunt is pretty bad :O I like in the Midwest, Springfield, Missouri, and in one of the highest religiously populated areas. There is literally a Church on every street corner, and it is a huge town :O

I just do my best :( I do so much charity work though they always assume I'm a Christian, which is funny, because I'm the most active volunteer I know of in the town of 300k, that often starts them preaching, but I ignore it the best I can.

Aren't fundaMENTAL xtians a problem everywhere and anywhere? It's not just their constand preaching, their constant whining and their constant blathering about the end times, but their lack of respect for others, for the earth, for the creatures who share this planet; their lack of respect for life....as they are all breathlessly awaiting the afterlife....their lack of compassion, their worship of a horrible aspect of God, their hypocrisy and above all else their dangerous political power.

Where are all these so called "good" and "liberal" xtians......and why don't they speak out against the fundaMENTALists that make them look bad? Their dogma had ended up breeding only dogs and they should be leashed at all times in my opinion.

Hmmmmm,

Define fundamentalist Christian.

I am a Catholic Christian, since Catholicism is the first Christian Church, does that make me a fundamentalist?

If so, what does me being a Catholic Christian hurt your right to not be? I respect your right to your own faith (Or lack of) the worst thing I am going to do to you is pray for you.

Peace!

We've got some JW's around here, but I think I scared them away last time they swung by. Just kidding. No really, I think they're everywhere, just as predators of other religions are. Look at what Islam is doing to the UK. Awful! Selling dvd's to children pressing them to turn to jihid and martyrdom?? Wtf???
