I haven't had any luck with Lamital at all. I caused me to have memory and concentration loss.

I do know that if you go on a high dosage of Lamictal right away, you can have some bad side effects. Make sure that you start on a low dosage (25-50 mg daily) and gradually work your way up on a weekly basis. You need to be under a doctor's care during this time. If you experience a rash (common, but serious), cantact your doctor as once!

I would contact your doctor anyway. You shouldn't be experiencing headaches with this medication and any change in your physical or mental health while starting a new medication should be reported at once.

I wish you the best of luck!

I have never took Lamictal but they tried to put me on it. I read the side affects and a headache is one of them. If you get a rash, go to the hospital though.

It hasn't caused headaches for me but that doesn't mean that it won't for you. You should talk to your Dr as there may be other meds that will work equally well without that side effect. They also may lessen as time goes by, lots of side effects wear off.

I personally refuse to poison myself with any of the poisons presently legally available for mood disorders in the US. The FDA is in the pocket of Big Pharma and has rubberstamped all manner of anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and anti-psychotic drugs for the last three decades. These drugs are relatively untested, particularly for long-term risks. Side-effects are poorly understood, if at all.

If you wish a treatment that doesn't permanently sabotage your neurochemistry, then you'd be better off finding a practitioner of traditional chinese medicine. They can treat you in a gradual, healthy manner...and without causing more harm than good.
