Hair grows on average 6 inches per year. Every 8-12 weeks you should get the ends trimmed to avoid having to chop it all off again. You should do vitamin treatments once every 4-6 weeks. Just go to Sally Beauty Supply & you can pick up individual packs of hair conditioning treatments for under $2/each. My favorite is Tea Tree oil conditioning pack by Sally's beauty brand. I also LOVE Beyond the Zone hair mask. These will help your hair stay healthier longer & will help produce longer hair faster.

Okay, people, let's get this myth straight now. HAIR DOES NOT GROW FASTER IF YOU TRIM IT!!!! Hello! Hair grows from the root, not the tip, and is affected by your health and gentics.
Hair is basically protein, no matter what ethnicity you are. It's actually very similar in structure to silk, which is why abusing your hair with heat and styling products cause major damage. Treat your hair the same way you would your favorite silk dress!
*Detangle your hair before washing GENTLY!
*Wash it in gentle shampoo
* Condition your strands with a cheap conditioner--compare ingredients and you'll be surprised.
* Protect your hair from wind/harsh cold by wearing it up.
* Keep your strands healthy by using jojoba oil daily--a couple drops will do! This will also make your hair shine.
* Give yourself a hot oil treatment once a week.
*Use a natural boar bristle brush to distribute natural scalp oil to the rest of strands.
* "Dust" your hair regularly--this means snipping off any split ends you see yourself.
* Take a daily vitamin.
* Get lots of sleep.
* Stay hydrated during the day.
* Avoid using relaxers if you can.
* Let your hair air-dry naturally, or towel dry gently.
*Use decorative hair clips, scarves, and headbands to keep your hair out of your face until it gets longer.
DON'T GIVE UP! THIS TAKES PATIENCE!

First of all, all healthy hair starts out with a good nutrition base. Try to make sure that you eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as a good protein base like eggs, meat, fish legumes, etc. Try to avoid over-processing the hair, which can cause split end and in turn causes breakage leading to uneven hair growth. Try not to style your hair with a lot of heat--wraps, wet sets and sponge rollers with end papers are a lot healthier on the hair and minimizes breakage. As you are putting pomades or hair dressings on your hair, try massaging your scalp which increases blood flow to the base of the hair and making it grow. To keep those long locks luscious and flowing try a once a week hot oil treatment followed by a deep conditioning treatment.
The average hair growth depends on the person, but it can take anywhere from 1/2 inch to 1 inch per month. Good luck, girl!!!

Hair grows at different speeds throughout the year, but you can generally depend on a half inch each month. Proper nutrition may help, but maybe not as much as a volumizer shampoo and conditioner.

depending on how long you want you hair to grow back, it will take a while. there are pills for hair growth at the pharmacy or walgreens. they arent expensive but they really help.

Sorry, babe...the only way is to dye it blacker or attempt using some henna ? Your hair will seem brownish in the solar because of the fact maximum folk with hair that seems black is genuinely dark brown.
