The best way to learn what to do to stop them is to contact a synagogue and talk to the Rabbi.

Ask him how the ancient Jews got rid of the Christian Jews when they went from house to house telling their brethren that the beliefs, rituals, and holiday observances that they have followed for hundreds of years was no longer valid?

I’m sure they had ways to get rid of the members of this cult started by a lower class, uneducated Carpenter, who was executed for cause by the governing authority. These followers were also lower class, uneducated individuals, such as Peter, a former fisherman, and Matthew, a former tax collector.

Lacking any kind of education, let alone advance religious education, it was clear they were brainwashed.

Saul of Tarsus, a highly educated individual, repeatedly proved they were a false religious sect, creating their own scriptures (Bible) instead of relying on the only true scriptures which had been used by the Jews for hundreds of years. He stood by as the true people of God stoned these so-called Christians.

So, just take a lesson from the ancient Jews. What worked for them against the Christian cult should work against the JWs.

Jehovahs witnesses do not believe that only a few hundred thousand will be saved, they believe that 144,000 go to heaven, while the rest will live for eternity on a paradise earth.

Jehovahs witnesses go door to door ( and use other methods) of preaching the good news of the kingdom because Jesus commanded that all Christians should do this Matt 28:18-20 says:

18 And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

ALL Christians should preach and teach, and if you do not wish to speak to the witnesses just tell them so!

Would like to correct the answerer who said that Jehovahs witnesses believe some will go to hell, this is not true, and anyone who tells you so does not know anything about our beliefs. If you want to know what Jehovahs witnesses believe in ASK a Jehovahs witness!

Jehovah's Witnesses do not insist that you be converted!

And we believe that 144,000 will inherit the heavenly hope, and the remaining ones will inherit the earth. (Psalms 37:9-11). The wicked will be destroyed and the righteous (who do not have the heavenly hope) will remain on a paradise earth.

If you actually give them a chance when they knock on your door to tell you what they believe and not the rumors you hear, maybe you will understand why we do what we do. (Matthew 28:19,20). We are only following Jesus' command to do so.

And if you are a true christian, then why aren't you knocking on my door with your message. If you or anyone else of your denomination came to my door, I would be more than willing to at least listen and ask a few questions of my own. Besides, you'd only be doing what you were commanded to do!

Why do the Witnesses call on people who have their own religion?
In doing this they follow Jesus' example. He went to the Jews. The Jews had their own religion, but in many ways it had turned away from the Word of God. (Matthew 15:1-9) All nations have religions of some kind, whether so-called Christian or non-Christian. It is vitally important for people to hold beliefs that conform to God's own Word, and the efforts of the Witnesses to assist them in doing this constitute a showing of neighbor love.

If I become one of Jehovah's Witnesses, would I be expected to preach as they do?
When one becomes filled with the knowledge of the promised earthly Paradise under Christ's Kingdom, one wants to share it with others. You will too. It is good news!—Acts 5:41, 42.

Doing this is an important way of showing that you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. In the Bible, Jesus is called "the faithful and true witness." When on earth he preached, saying: "The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near," and he sent out his disciples to do the same. (Revelation 3:14; Matthew 4:17; 10:7) Later, Jesus commanded his followers: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, . . . teaching them." He also foretold that before the end, "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations."—Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't "insist" on converting others. They simply are out looking for people who are interested in the Bible and would like to learn more about it. It is really quite simple, when they come to your door tell them you aren't interested in the Bible (if that is the case) and you don't want to talk to them. They don't want to waste their time on people who don't care anymore than people who don't care want their time taken up by Jehovah's Witnesses. By the way, they don't believe that only a "few hundred thousand" will find salvation. They believe that all who put their faith in Jesus and his father Jehovah will find salvation. But, I guess you didn't know that because you have never really talked to them about what they believe.

How do you insist on/force someone converting/believing something. We WitNesses offer our beliefs and research and enjoy having conversations with others about them. We do not think only a few hundred thousand will gain salvation. Show me where we say we do.

Showing us how rude you are probably keeps some away, and not just "Bible thumpers"

Currently, the JW believe that 144,000 (the Annointed) of the best belivers will live with God in heaven. The rest of those who found salvation will live in a Paradise on Earth. Everyone else goes to hell.

Door to door preaching and conversions have been a focus for the JW ever since they were created. If they bother you, just tell them to go away politly and that you are a firm beliver in .

Jehovah's Witnesses do not preach specifically to "convert", but instead because Christ Jesus explicitly commanded it.

The fact is that the vast majority of Witnesses hope to enjoy life ON EARTH forever, rather than in heaven. Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

The men and women who make up the 144,000 are selected by God from among two thousand years of Christians. Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”

Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Because most everyone knows that the Jehovah Witnesses are a cult and I'm sorry but you will never escape God no matter how cruel you try to be.

Christians tells you the good news and allows you to come to the Lord at your own accord but the J.W as well as the Mormons go out to your homes and try to pull people into their cult and they come as a group dressed in black coats and/or clothes from head to toe where one does all of the talking and the others just stand there quite with a wicked stare but the Mormons wear all blue and are simply annoying with their persistance.
Those are the ones who are trying to shove their beliefs down peoples throats and not Christians.
