Not at all. There is a 72 hour waiting period from when you get the marriage license in NJ until you can use it. Vegas doesn't have a waiting period. Also, licenses aren't available at all hours in NJ, unlike in Las Vegas. I don't think Atlantic City has nearly as many wedding chapels, either.

Its not like Vegas where you can walk into a chapel and walk out married. However, you can get a marriage license and walk into a judge's office and walk out married, you can do that anywhere. Marriage licenses are good for around 60 days but once you have it you can get married whenever you like.
