Especially when you are after peoples indiviual twists to normal recipies etc.
I think the things we discover ourselves are often the best ideas, not something someone else has been paid to create.

These people are either
a) just trying to help by posting a recipe they found
b) point hungry and just pasting recipes from google.

If you do not like these long posts, leave a note in the question area limiting the length of the recipes you want. Or, perhaps, note that you want personal experience about recipes.

Give them a break, they may not realize they are overly long winded. I have a boyfriend like that. I want short simple answers not a novel.

yes i do. i just wanted a simple non traditional recipe for Monte Cristo sandwhiches and i got full blown by the book long recipes. though one sounded pretty good.

I only find it irretating when I asked for something short, otherwise I think ppl are just trying to be helpful

I like the answers from experienced cooks. They ususally are brief ... and some of them are brilliant! It's fun.
