I am getting my hair colored tomorrow and am wanting to go with a darker brown. I already have ash/brown hair and it just falls flat. Boring. I have green eyes and a lighter skin tone, but I'm not pale and I tan. What color would you recommend? I am wanting a deep, rich color. Any ideas?

Try darker brown with some carmel highlights...They would complement each other and bring out your green eyes. As for the darker brown I woudln't go with a flat dark brown but a more red based or honey based dark brown so it will flow with the carmel highlights.

I think that you should get slices of brown or copper! As you don't have a pale skin town, any shade of brown would suit you, and green eyes will make it look really good!

Deep chestnut brown lowlights would be really pretty and easy to maintain. (The color of a chestnut's shell.)

An allover dark espresso shade (like the coffee straight) would be dramatic but you would have to maintain the roots vigilantly.

I have a dark brown foiled into my dirty blond with bleach blonde highlights and it looks great. The color is coffee. It has red undertones and shimmers. Ask your hairdresser to show you color samples before you just say dark brown.
