Depends on the occasion, as an everyday restaurant I love Wagamama's which is a Japanese noodle bar restaurant. The staff are really friendly and the food is just to die for and the atmosphere there is just so great and price wise its very reasonable.
If I was to be taken out to a posh restaurant for the evening, then it would have to be a restaurant called Le Bistro. Its a very nice family owned restaurant and the food is great and the staff are good and are always friendly and if possible the chef makes sure he comes out and talks to the customers, its really nice

My favourite restaurant constantly varies as I like to try new places rather than revisit old haunts. Currently My favourite is a Lebanese Restaurant called Randa in Kensington Church Street, its surprisingly good value too.
I also have a soft spot for the Tas Restaurant's at The Cut, Waterloo and Bloomsbury Street. They are Turkish Cypriot, with a range of good value "mezes"

Olive Garden.. everything is neat and clean, their salad and breadsticks are great.. they have a really good selection of itallian and american food to choose from, their prices are reasonable and their waiters and waitresses are the best!

Tapas bars and restaurants, you can get lots of different dishes to share. Its a really sociable night out, and usually accompanied by great music too! Well Cubanas is! (Sheffield)

I don't have a favorite restaurant. I just like restaurants that are clean, have a nice atmosphere and a large selection of meals and most importantly, good service.

Wildfire!! It was ranked 3rd in the nation for it's prime rib and I'm a HUGE prime rib fan. I haven't tried the number 1 & 2 restorants so I can't say they are my favorite...plus my wife likes Wildfire so it's a win - win situation when we go :)
