this is where i have to wonder if you hate magic and call it a miracle isnt it like you are ignoring the fact that people can do magic and there are christo-pagans and christo-wiccans who use magic from the bible and some of the prayers in the psalms can be used as magic too but yet its hated? it makes no sence once so ever.

well you are absolutely right when you say that the psalms can be used for magic as well because they can be used for white magic which is considered good magic or black magic aka evil magic maybe it has to do with the dislike for evil magic and you do bring up good points especially since what moses and jesus did could be considered magic

Gazriel The God,

There are several different "versions" of Christianity out there, but the truth of the matter is that to give credit to something other than God is what is in question here.

You see, the real problem isn't magic. It is the worship of either the magic, or the one performing the magic, or giving credit to something other than God for the magic.

If you'll look at each and every "magical event" noted in the Bible, aka miracle, the credit for these things is given to God.

It is when these types of things are performed, and the tool (the person doing the event) says "it was me" to the exclusion of God that there is a problem.

Most Christians out there will argue with me and say that to do magic is prohibited biblically. I'll not argue with that. All I'll say is that I don't allow my children to touch the stove until they are old enough to understand what is going on. Eventually they'll have to cook, then they'll have to learn the "magic" of the stove.

I hope this helps

Because they did not do magic, by themselves they were nothing, they themselves had no real power, it was God through them , that gave them power.
They were not Christo pagans or Christo-wiccans, that is an Oxy-moron.

But I have questions for you if you are Wiccan.

Do the gods and goddesses of Wicca actually exist?
If they actually exist, how do you know they exist?
If you're tradition contradicts the tradition of another Wiccan, can they both be objectively true?
How do you feel about believing in the religious system where you cater your religion to your desires?
if you cater/construct your religion according to our desires, then isn't it nothing more than your own invention?
Is Wicca able to be shown to be false or is it all non-verifiable ideas?
If your spells and incantations produce results, how do you know that the power behind the results is good or not?
How do you know that there is something more sinister behind Wicca?
Why do you think that rituals dealing with candles, knives, and such are able to affect nature?

I'm a Christian and I don't hate magic. I don't agree with any dark magic that people might use to summon the devil or anything, or people that use magic for revenge. The reason for that is I don't want to give the devil any reason to hang out with me. As far as the prophets in the Bible and Jesus son of God, they didn't use magic. God gave them the power to get his point across. They only used that power to get God's point across for the mission at hand. God can use any of us at any time to get His point across.

No they did not....and nothing from The Bible is part of any "magic"...... magic is either trickery or through the power and work of evil forces. When through the power of evil it is the work of the enemies of God and is against the Word and Will of God.

There is no such thing as any one being christian and wiccan or pagan at the same time.... and no one of The True Christian Faith would ever turn to wica or pagan....EVER.... but those deceived by wicca and pagan influence can escape that evil and come to God.

Magic is controlling spirits through ritual, to do your bidding.

Miracles are God Himself (or His followers) using the authority of the One who created the universe to break the physical laws of the universe to bring about a healing, etc. The power lies in God; we tap into it through faith to accomplish a goal God has pre-authorized.

Three basic differences:

Magic --the will of the doer
Miracles--the will of the Creator

Magic -- power comes by rituals, candles, etc.
Miracles-- power comes by faith

Magic -- man-centered (or woman-centered, depending on who's doing it)
Miracles -- God-centered; they focus attention and glory on God.

I'm sure there are more. I have never studied magic more than superficially, and am new to miracles.

Moses didn't do magic of his own power. He followed the instruction of God. The magicians in pharoah's court did their own magic which was thumped by God's show of power.

The difference is where is the power coming from. Is it coming from man or God?

God forbids the practice of divination and sorcery. Those are of man. If God tells a man to stand there and do this it is not magic born of man, but God's power manifested through a man.

There is a BIG difference. I believe the basic thing here is reliance of man vs. reliance on God.

Bible miracles are not the same as magic. The devil uses magic . The devil always tries to counterfeit Gods work.

there is no such thing as magic . . . God give the power to people to do the right thing who cure people, things from the bible like raise people from the dead a miracle. But the problem is that people call magic like levatating or making things appear or dissapear, well thats the devil using his own to make you believe but instead when you try this sort of stuff and it happens your just digging a big hole for yourself that isnt good. Moses didnt do magic.

I guess it is because they feel that if you do magic without authorization from God you are doing it against his will or something. This leads me to believe that Christians believe in magic and whatnot.

However, many Christians say they don't believe in magic. I guess when it comes to God you accept what you are told with no question.
