I was baptized lutheran and raised Catholic. For the past year I cannot help but feel I have "something" working against me and it has caused to seek the occult. I know things, but I don't know why I know them. I feel connections to things though they may not be my favorite or bring me "luck". Does this make any sense to anyone? Or should I except the fact that my egg is cracked and I'm losing my mind.

I don't think that the desire for self-power is necessarily rare among people. I certainly wouldn't say you're losing your mind. I do think, however, that it is very important to note that self promoting powers are not gifts from God, but rather from Satan... therefore if your "gifts" seem not to be right and good and true to you (and sometimes even if they do) they might be satan's attempts to lure you away from the true path of God. The best thing would be to ignore these occurances as simply your mind making good guesses (which it still could very well be) and go and talk to your local catholic priest who should be able to offer you better insight

you have discovered your intuition ?
this is something that is so natural and so wonderful ... i never understand why people feel it is occultist or wrong
have you ever heard of a mother knowing her child was ill even when the child is far away ? .... intuition
you will of course be told that this is evil etc .... you know in your heart it is not and know in your heart that it is natural ( because you have intuition of course lol )
