If i had a good idea that i have invented what would be the next step?

First write down your invention than make a self address envelope fill it out. Address it to yourself with the return address to yourself, than mail it. When you get it back, kept it don't open it. This is known as a Poor Man Patent. Than anyone you tell about it make sure they write their signature, or dot show it to anyone. But the Poor Man Patent is first.

Talk to an attorney who specializes in patent law and pay him to help you do a patent search, to make sure someone else has not already invented it. If it has not been done before, the next step is to make a working model, and apply for a patent. Good luck!
