Personal, political, or whatever issue that's expressed by an artist comes out not because they're always compelled to but have an opinion about something or want to get something out of them.

Some people can speak their thoughts while others feel more comfortable painting or drawing. It's still just an expression of thought.

It stems from the social milieu happening during the time of the artist's actual lives. No man is an island, artists included! They are influenced by the mind set and theories and ideologies prevalent within their societies. Art and ideologies are natural companions. Expressing personal or societal issues is the same as expressing any subject whatsoever. Art is a form of expression and it demonstrates this expression in the way most meaningful to the artist creating this visual or otherwise, form of expression.

art is a form of self expression and sometimes the best way to deal with the injustice of what's going on around you is to express yourself .it,s also why so many artist like that produced some of the best work
