No, something is wrong with it, it's missing the engine code, the last letter before the unit number.
For a 64 ½ it has to be either a D, F or U :)
maybe the 0 is really a D?
It decodes as a 64½ Dearborn built coupe with the 289-4v 210 hp Challenger engine, one of my favorites, I've had two D's

To tell if it,s a early model 65 look under the hood and at the instrument cluster if it has a generator instead of a alternator it what they call a 64 1/2.do you know no mustang was ever registard as 64 1/2 all were 65

No that isn't correct, for it to be a 64 would have to start with "C4"
A= 40's B= 50's C=60's D=70's E=80's F=90's

inside on the door and on top on front clip where the fender mounts. Open the hood and stamp should be next to the driver's fender.
