First, put ice or a cold pack on it for at least 20 MINS! The skin continues to burn, even after the heat source is gone, so you minimize damage that way. If the skin is blistered or scorched, cover it with a non-stick dressing and antibiotic ointment, plus some benzocaine (painkiller) if you have some. If it's a 3rd-degree burn, (charring, blackness, peeling) GET TO THE ER! If not, keep icing it periodically (20 mins on and 10 mins off) and do see a doctor. Aloe will help, as will the topical anesthetics, but you need to keep it from getting infected if it blisters, so keep putting antibiotic ointment on it. Take ibuprofen for the pain.

Know a breastfeeding mother? That stuff is liquid gold. My mom burned her hand to where it was charred, I expressed just a little milk and she took a cotton ball and dabbed it on, it was gone without a scare in less than a week. If not, there is an Aloe Burn Spray you can pick up from Wally world that is pretty good as well. Just not anything oil based, it "locks in the heat" if you will. Cold water. In Hospitals they use wet applications for severly burned victims, so we know the cold water isn't bad like they used to think.

Cool water never ice is best for a burn and do not put any butter or other "grease" on it as both can trap the burning in the skin and actually make it worse. After you have cooled the burn completely you can apply a small amount of burn ointment and cover with a bandage to keep the air away from it.

Run it under some cold water. Put some aloe on it, then wrap it up. If it stays swollen for a long time, go see a doctor

I take it you don't have any snot. Other names for this stuff is 'burn goo'. There's probably some smart name for it, but I have never taken the time to look at the package.

Its basically a bandage with usually yellow goo on it. It immediately cools the burn, and has antibacterial stuff in it too. Nice and sterile.

cold water. lots and lots of it, for about 10 mins, till the burn starts to cool down. Then cover it lightly with a clean bandage. If it's still bad tomorrow, or running with pus, get it looked at
