There is absolutely no way, unless you know who bred the dog, to tell what it is mixed with, let alone the percentages.
Something people should know... Vets are experts in animal medicine, not experts in determining breeds of dogs.
More than half of the dogs in shelters labeled as pit bulls/mixes don't have any pit in them at all.

My vet has told me that mixed-breed dogs who have white toes or white socks with black spots on them are frequently pit bull crosses. He also said that brindle-colored dogs are also frequently part pit bull as there are very few breeds who carry that color gene (but I think Great Danes are one of the breeds, so that won't be any help with your pup.
I have two 1/2 pits and I wouldn't trade either of them for the world. The one is 1/2 Black Lab and is the sweetest, mellowest dog ever. The only time you see the pit in her is when she gets stung by something she's allergic to and her face swells up. The other one is pit and Akita and is just the happiest, most loving dog in the world. Don't be afraid of part-pits -- most of them are just great!

looks like a great dane to me...don't really see any pit bull in this dog. The vet could be completely wrong, and sounds odd that the vet would actually give it an exact percentage. I would not worry about this dog being a pit bull, and even if it was, pit bulls can make great family dogs. HOWEVER, I really do not think this dog has any pit in him.

hes a beautiful dog, and i can't see how you couldn't tell he had some mix! he doesn't look like scooby doo! And the markings on his face are similar like the ones pitbull have.He definitely looks like a mix pitbull and a great dane, i thought great dane were solid colors only? Watch out for aggression and get it corrected as early as possible, make sure you socialize him and you should be fine.

pit bulls have a larger jaw than most dogs but it is really hard to be 100% sure what he is if hes a mixed breed.....he may be great dane and pit bull.....think about the dog....do you like him? is he a good dog? is it that important what he is? if so take him to another vet and get a second opinion.....and if you really don't want the dog than take both vet reports to the shelter and explain to them that you are uncomfortable with the dog because both vets have expressed that he may have pit bull in him.....

He may be a Dane mix, and not have any Pit in it. You will probably just have to wait and see how the dog develops. I do not think that he has any Pit in him, I just think that he looks like a Dane puppy.

Very cute dog! He looks so sleepy in those pics :)
He doesn't look very much like a pit bull to me. His head seems long and narrow not wide like a pits and he's not got the wide jaw or barrel chest. He's way too big too. Pictures aren't always the best to tell from obviously, but if he is pit, he's very little. I say if you love him and he's behaving well then keep him...he's really a cute little guy :)
Take a look at this photo gallery...a lot of the dogs look similar to yours at his age

I beleive the % of pitbull would be too small to worry about. If you don't want him I wlil take him. Seems like a good dog to me.
