Dogs love the taste of cat poop because it's high in protein. Cats are obligate carnivores, which means their food must be very high in protein, so of course the resulting poop is too.
You'll need to fix up a way to block the puppy from getting to the litter box. If the litterbox is in a room or closet with a doorway, you could block it off with a baby gate - make sure your cat can jump over it (older cats may have trouble with that), or cut a hole in the gate that only the cat can fit through. Or try arranging furniture or boxes around the litterbox so the cat can get to it but the puppy can't. Some people put the litterbox in a closet or cabinet and cut a cat-sized hole in the door that the dog can't fit through (that won't work with very small breeds of dogs, though).

some dogs do this...they see there mom eating there poop to clean up after them.... this is also a disorder that some dogs don't get over......your vet can medicate your dog to stop the problem......but i would get a cover for your cat box or put it where the puppy cant get it

Its natural behaviour...cat food has a lot of fish in it and dogs love it....my lab loves eating cat food that i have a bag of cat food mixed with her dog food.....nothing to worry abt..in fact it is very healthy for ur dog as cat food is more nutritious than dog food

Dogs love cat poo!!!!!
You won't be able to stop it unless you move the litter tray to somewhere the dog can't get in it.

All 4 of my dogs do the same thing!! They like the protein, thats what ive heard...
