None of the Archangels tries to kill Lucifer Morningstar. It is likely that angels are immortal.

The purpose of the war in heaven was only to expel the rebel angels. One third of the Heavenly Host are said to have sided with Lucifer .

Archangel Michael was chosen to lead those charged with the expulsion of the rebels. This is because he was the first to refuse Lucifer when he was tempting the other angels to follow him.

At present there is a truce in the heavenly realms, with Lucifer and his followers allowed access to the throne of God, as evidenced by his accusations against believers.

This is not to say the battle does not still rage. Earth is the battlefield where angels and fallen angels are locked in constant invisible combat.

St. Michael will be the one who will subdue Satan. Satan will not be killed however, he was just to be tied down and silenced for the next thousand years after the battle. Lucifer is not Satan however too. Read Isaiah 14:12-17 in King James Version and then read other Christian Bible to find how Lucifer's name was changed to "Morning Star" then read Revelation 22:16 and see who claims to be the Morning Star or Lucifer. In Isaiah !4:16, it says there that he is not a cherubim or archangel but a man who had an ambition to sit on the throne of God in high heavens. Then just follow it up on reading Matthew 26:64 and see who claims to be that man..........www.thename.ph

Michael

Jude 1:9 (KJV) Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed
about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The
Lord rebuke thee.

He fought with Lucifer, did not try to kill him, as that is judgment, set aside for God. Notice, he says "The Lord rebuke thee"

Revelation 12
7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Again, they fight, but do not try to kill, no mention of it. Only God can annihilate Satan.

Daniel 12
1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Here, Michael will be with Israel during the coming war. Seems probably visible. Afterwords, I believe is where Israel will believe what Jesus said.

Revelation 12:7-8
7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.

The dragon is a symbol for satan.
