I want a small (nickle sized) fleur de lis tattoo to symbolize my year living abroad in France but I can't decide where to get it! I want it somewhere that I can hide easily. I was thinking the back of my neck or the lower back, any thoughts? I'd also love it on the inside of my wrist, would that be too hard to cover up?

That's a good point about the detail... but aren't most tattoos detailed, shouldn't any artist be able to do a small tattoo? (Y'all are being really helpfull thanks!)

That is REALLY really small. You'd better find an artist who is good with detail or else its gonna look weird.

I like the idea of having it on the back of your neck or behind your ear which is easy to cover with hair. You could also get it done on your foot or near your breasts.

Your wrist is an obvious spot and will always be seen, as will your neck. I'm assuming you will not always wear long sleeves or that you might either want your hair cut short or put up in a bun or pony tail. The lower back is more discreet because unless you're wearing something backless like a bathing suit or low cut dress you won't see it. You can always do a but cheek. That would be pretty discreet.

that is SO tiny!!! i love fleur de lis. i have thought about incorporating one into a tattoo but i haven't decided yet. a wrist is very out there but if you always wear a watch then it would be coverable. i don't know... your foot would be a good place.

At that size it would be perfect on the inside of the wrist, but hardest to cover up. Also, it would be cute on the neck like right behind/below the ear, about an inch away. As long as you can get a good concealer or like bracelets, I'd go with the wrist.

I like the back of the neck idea....but you have to think that when youre an old lady and you get yer hair all chopped off and permed....but then again theres the fact that tatoos are a lot more common these days...by the time we're grannies ther will be a lot more of them floating around =)

I'd say on your lower back, but it all depends on how visable you want it to be. I've always liked the idea of one on the inside of my wrist, but I, unfortunately, had to think of my future career choices. A lot of places won't even let you work there if you have visable tattoos. I have tattoos, but they are all in places that can be visable if I want them to be, but can easily be hidden while at work.

Go to whichever shop you are wanting to get it done at and ask for someone who does custom work. They can usually draw you something up that will be good and unique!

After doing a quick search of the image, I think it would be a good back of the neck tat. Good luck.

It's ultimately up to you, just be sure before you do it.

On the wrist would be cool and a large bracelet or watch with a wide band would easily cover it up.
