Go see the doctor. A guy I knew heard voices on the bus, on TV and so forth telling him he was no good at work and his boss hated him and everyone thought he was stealing. The people he worked with knew nothing about any of this so they got him to go to the doctor and he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. His medication means he doesn't hear those voices any more.

If what the voice tell you to do conflicts with what the Bible tells you to do, do not give credence to them. Go to a doctor and get some meds, that will help alleviate the voices. It could be a chemical imbalance in the brain.

My first course of action would be to investigate why I'm hearing voices. Have I recently stopped drinking or using drugs? Is there some history of mental health problems in the family? Could I have been exposed to some environmental toxin?

Well this depends on you state of mind - mental health issues cant be ruled out ok? however in saying that if you want to return to a country you like and you are accepted in etc etc etc and you will know whta nthose etcs mean to you then go. There is nothing worse then living in a place you dont like

You can go with your intuitions. You might try to work out who is the voice and if you recognise it.
If you are worried about hearing voices, you might want to see your doctor or practice nurse, it could be something or nothing.

I think you need to figure out WHY they are telling you to go back. Have you done something to offend them? Is something special waiting for you there? Will they abandon you once you leave? If so, can you live without them?
All heavy things to consider my friend.

suggestions:
1) Do what they suggest and see if they stop.
2) see a qualified doctor and follow his advice/take medication if necessary
3) Start your own religion. You are ideally qualified (hearing voices) and lots of other successful/money making sects have started from similar humble beginnings

Maybe you should, if you feel that you need to go back, do you have family there? Its probably just that home is where the heart is, and we usually have a sense that that is where we belong.
