had a buddy of mine in the army do that. so he could move out of the barracks and live off post. now those two have been married for 8 years and have actually fallen in love. so who knows sometimes it works. ive also heard of it back firing. so do what you think is best

My aunt married some guy from England in the '80s for $10,000 when she was a recently-divorced single mom of three. He lived in the guest room and they divorced after 3 years. No hard feelings and they both went on with their lives. He had no role in the girls' lives.

Someone I know very well married a guy so he could get his greencard. After 9/11, he disappeared and now, she's stuck trunk to get and pay for a divorce without him around to sign the papers. It messed up her taxes and could have sent her to jail. The worst decision she's ever made....

I have heard of that happening. A Swiss woman married an American man, an Australian man married an American woman, a wealthy American married a prosperous Mexican woman so a radio station he wanted to buy could be legally owned in Mexico by their baby.

A lady I work with married a guy just because he had a good health insurance plan...Its totatlly wrong but its true!
