The Son of Man IS Jesus, and the nations will mourn because they will have then realized that He has existed all along, and now they will have to face their judgement.

Matthew 12:8
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Matthew 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matthew 16:13
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 17:22
And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men

"And then at last, the sign of the coming of the Son of Man will appear in the heavens, and there will be a deep mourning among all the nations of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

It DOES say Jesus will come back. The nations will mourn because the unbelievers will suddenly realize they chose to follow the wrong side. All the things they said would not happen are suddenly happening and then it's gonna be too late for them.

Matthew 24:30-31
30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

-Yes this does say Jesus is coming at this time- He is the son of Man- he is the son of God- he is the Messiah and Jehovah! He is our Savior!

Mt 24:30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. All the nations on earth will be sad. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky. He will come with power and great glory...

The context says, "They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky." Clearly, the text indicates that they see "the Son of Man coming."

There is uncertainty about the meaning of "sign" in the passage. "Semeion," the Greek word translated "sign" usually refers to a miraculous sign, but can also be rendered as a "mark" or "signal." The indication is that something will be seen first which is not Jesus himself, but some effect of his presence.

Hello;

" At the end of the world, the sign of his coming will be his physical approach with the glory of his Father and the holy angels." See also 1 Thess. 4:16; Luke 21:27; Matt. 26:64; Acts 1:11. " "As far as all the nations of the earth will mourn." " All the wicked shall mourn at the prospect of their doom. Rev. 1:7."

All of this precedes His Second Coming. Read again what will happen in vss. 31-51.

Who is the Son of man? Jesus
Matthew 24:30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Also, if you read on down in the 36th verse it also let you know that no one know the day or hour except the Father. Another good reference for you is 1Thessalonians and the 4th chapter.

"The second coming" is that Jesus will appear in the sky and the earth will mourn because he is coming to judge. They have no more chance to be saved. They will die in their sin. See, the devil knows this. People who say they are Christians, don't. The believers will be ratured before this occurs. (Meaning, they will be taken from the earth and then those who died will raise from the dead to meet Jesus in the clouds. ( The dead being raised are believers who died before the blowing of the trumpet.)

Jesus is the son of man. He calls himself the son of man many times throughout the bible.

Mt 24:27 - "For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

And he sets his feet upon the mt of olives. He does return.

So because that one verse doesn't reference Jesus' return nothing in the bible proves that point?

Jesus is a reigning King, awaiting instructions from his Father to pass final judgment on humans. That scripture you quoted merely describes how people who doubted will have to finally acknowledge God Almighty and his Son.

When Jesus comes back to get revenge, the entire world will tremble. Jesus will rip the unbeliever's hearts out. It will be glorious. And we Christians will all be brought back to observe his glory and to laugh at the pitiful heathens as Jesus rips them to shreds.
