No the bigger deception is people believing he does not exist. So when he whispers things into your heart you assume this is your own thinking and not him or one of his demons.
The Bible is a puzzle and 99% of the people never spend the time to put it together but let another person or religion do it for them. So therefore everybody has an opinion rather than believing what the Good Book says; 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
But men love men more than God so they take another path;
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Micah 7:2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
The only ones not deceived are the ones called God's elect. The Bible teaches it is ONLY the elect that cannot be deceived all others will be; Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The Grimm Brothers were Christians. The Iliad was written by Homer, as FICTION, long before the birth of Christ.
Yes, clearly Satan has a hand (or a claw) in this!

First, there is NO Satan. And your Christian brethren stole all their ideas from the Celtic Pagans and used their holidays...just renaming them. Money is the bottom line of religion. Do some research and see how legitimate your Christian brethren really are.

Ah, yes. I am tempted to treat all leather bound books as sacred. Looks are so deceiving.

I don't know. You could read it and see what it's all about. You don't have to believe it, but you could always read it.
