a dating site such as eHarmony or Match.com? If so, what was your experience? I have tried both, but although I have gained a new male friend, I haven't been successful at finding love.

I did eHarmony for three months this past fall. I met someone on there, we met three times, talked on the phone a lot... but I've done a lot of thinking and realize that if it's meant to be more than friends, I wouldn't feel so darn uncomfortable when he flirts with me! Anyway, I don't regret paying for eHarmony. It was a good experience and I've made a guy friend. But I think now, I'm going to just leave it up to God. I'm graduating from college in May and don't know where I'll end up, so starting a relationship now isn't the best idea.

My advice is this... if you're willing to fork over the money, keep trying those sites. You may have success, you may not. Or just try speed dating (which I haven't, but I'm open to checking out). You never know where you'll meet someone. Could be on a dating site, could be randomly in line at a grocery store. You just have to decide if you're willing to try the dating sites again or try something else.

Good luck finding love!

I've had good and bad luck with sites I paid for, made a few friends like you too but nothing lasting. I also had something very dangerous happen to me as well, which is why I am telling you to please be careful. I think it all depends on how you handle yourself with others and how you make yourself look to them, but be reminded that people will think what they want to think no matter what you say and there are many sick people in the world. I was told people tend to read into your profile quite a bit so be careful what and how you post something on your profile/pics, etc. Be careful when you meet a guy from online, be so very careful, do not go to his house, take him to your house, etc. Meet only at a public place and never deviate from this rule. It is very dangerous. Personally, I will never use any sites like that again. I would rather meet people in real life than online, that's just me.

Met 3 people on match.com. Have been dating #2 for 7 months now. Not only that, we are living together! These sites really do work!

I was going to try EHarmony but they only find dates for straight people not Gay. Don't give up hope. I'm sure in time you will find the right person for you. I did! So keep dating and looking.

I did American singles once, I met a guy, we dated 2 years, caught him cheating on me, broke up with him then he became a stalking physcotic freak. I had to move out of state and change all numbers, passwords to Everything, to include on line banking. Just be careful
