It is possible, you obviously do have enough room.
The dentist is the expert, have some faith in him/her. You will be fine.
I had braces about 5 years ago as an adult. I had seven teeth out beforehand. It takes forever to close the gaps once teeth are removed.
Count yourself lucky you dont need them removing!
Blimey it was an experience, and delays you getting your braces as you have to wait until your gums are well healed.
Trust your dentist, if you dont get another expert opinion.

No - your first question. Yes - your last question. I'm an adult and my braces have been off for three months. I love my straight teeth! I had overcrowding on the bottom and had no teeth removed, thank goodness. My top teeth were out of alignment but not nearly as crowded. All my teeth moved to where they were supposed to be. I'm sure your orthodontist is right. Good luck with the braces!

My daughter just had her braces removed last month. She has had them in various forms for the last two years. The first set had plastic block-type things that were designed to bring her lower jaw forward to provide a better bite, and to space out the top teeth to provide room to straighten them. Once the blocks had done their work (about 6-8 months), they put on metal bars that were braced onto the back teeth, top and bottom, to push them back and provide more space. That took a further six months. Then came the train tracks for another six months to bring them all into line, then finally a couple of months tweaking with elastics on the train tracks at night to perfect the bite and alignment, and voila, last month, the perfectly straight teeth were finally revealed! She now wears a retainer at night, and will have to continue that until she's 18, at which point she has to get her wisdom teeth removed before they start to crowd the teeth again.
I'm surprised to hear you don't have to get the wisdom teeth out, but if your orthodontist is confident of getting a result without resorting to that, you should be glad of that! You obviously have enough jaw to play around with.
Good luck with the braces! It'll be worth it!

The term over crowding means to many. When I consulted with my dentist I asked the same question. Unfortunately the answer is yes in your case. As with me, your jaw is probably too small to hold all of the teeth in your mouth. As a result, certain teeth tend to shift. Your gums will stretch to keep the teeth but the end result is certain teeth will be boldging out of your mouth. Like you, my teeth didn't look "out of wak" at the top. However there was protrusion of the front teeth. This protrusion was caused because there was just too many teeth and not enough space on my jaw for them. As a result, I had to have all my wisdoms removed along with my bicuspids( behind the canines. Furthermore, it seemed like I would have too much space in my mouth, but it feels about the same. additionally, I used to get a sensation of lock jaw from time to time and that sensation no longer exists. So to summarize all that stuff; if you have crowding of the teeth, to make space in your mouth teeth must be removed. just think of an over crowed elevator. sure twenty people can fit in it, but when four leave out it feels so much more comfortable.

yes, depending on your situation. i don't have over crowding but i am getting my wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow. they have to cut my sinuses tog et my top ones out and cut a nerve on my bottom jaw and take out a cyst on my 2 bottom ones. some people wont have no problems with getting there's out but i will because of the position they are growing in and because the doctor has to cut a nerve and possibly cut into my jaw and also i will be in more pain because of my TMJ. don't be scared though because if they are bad enough they will put you to sleep. first they are giving me laughing gas for my nerves and 30 seconds later they will be hooking my iv up and giving me sleeping medicine and then they will do the surgery. its also good to get your medicine filled the day before your surgery if your surgery is early in the morning like mine so you can take it right after you get out. i hope this helps you out a bit. good luck!!!
