Because only the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Other religions worship other gods who would obviously tell them different things, or the people who wrote them would write different things.

They might not have the exact same words, but they have the same meaning. In other languages, such as Greek and Latin you can transpose a few words and still have the same meaning. These men were men of God, not clones. If you and I believe the same thing about a subject we might explain it a different way and still have the same outcome. These men still had there own style of writing, their different point of views, but they got the same point across. They got the point that God wanted to make. People question the Bible so much. Yes, that is your prerogative, but just think for a second. The Bible doesn't say anything horrible. It doesn't make you perform an initiation to get into Heaven. It doesn't make you com mitt crimes to prove your loyalty. It doesn't make you give up your life or sacrifice your friends and family to be one of God's children. The only thing God asks of us is to believe He sent Jesus to die for our sins, repent of the sins we've committed, and follow a sort of code to live, which helps us live a better life. That's it. It's not very hard. He doesn't ask for much considering what He's given. Anyway sorry I went off course, but the point is your splitting hairs over minor things so you can stick with what you believe. You don't need to make excuses for what you believe. You have the free will to believe what you want.

There is only one Word of God. And that Word alone has been translated incorrectly, words taken out and in other ways profaned, so therefore you will get supposed "Bibles" that are inaccurate and certainly not inspired, thus creating differing interpretations.
The Word of God, i.e., the Bible was codified by the Catholic church. It's authors were Catholic, yep; Peter, Paul, Matthew all of them. These men wrote their letters, epistles to people of that time for the issues of that time. Little did they know what was to come; for they never intended their letters to be codified. For Christ said to spread the truth, word by mouth. However, during the early Christian period there were letters that were kept by the faithful, and persecutions of Christians was at its height and these faithful were dying for manuscripts of ...the Gospel of Barnabas, etc. Certainly not a worthy document to die for, but they didn't know that. So the Catholic church convened a Coucil and in this Council established the books that were indeed inspired by God. (398 A.D.) This Bible was known as the Latin Vulgate. It stood incorrupt until 1517 when a crazy ol' monk decided to rebel against the Church. And it is he that took out passages in the Bible, whole books, and he would have taken more out if he wasn't stopped by other revolutionaries.
Being that the Catholic church is the author of the Bible it is only the Catholic church that has the right to interpret the Bible. They alone have the authority to do so. You will notice that the Catholic church keeps it facts straight and doesn't divert to silly interpretations due to the fact that it is the Holy Ghost that guides them. Christ left and established one Church.
An example; let's say I wrote a book. I'm the author. You have been given an assignment to do a book report 'and what the author is trying to convey' . Well, you know me and so you ask me what was I trying to get across. Well, I tell you. You submit the report and the teacher grades the report a "C", and saying "No, that isn't what the author meant...." Who do you believe? The author or the teacher?
Another example: The United States has a constitution. It is the backbone of the American society. Are you and I allowed to interpret this document to however we see fit? Or do we have a panel, called the Supreme Court, and only they can intrpret the Consititution....?
And my final example: Let's say you wrote letter "Dear Bro, I saw this hot chick the one night, decided to marry her and we have a kid now. Sorry such a long time writing, hope Nanna is okay, give my love to all" Let's say further that you wrote this today 2007. And an archeologist finds your letter in 2407. Now this archeologist is also an expert on 21st Century American English. He will intrepret this as "A boiling baby chicken, they got married and somehow had a baby goat, these 21st C. American loved bananas alot, they venerated bananas." Is this correct?
There is something called "venecular" that means 'vulgar'....native language. Native language is ...in transition, moving. Recent examples would be the loss of meaning in our current day. For example in a book written in 1965 describes "See Sam run in his gulashes and muff"....even today were at a loss to what the heck that is. However, Latin is a language that does not change ever. The man who was responsible for interpretation of the Hebrew and Greek texts into Latin was St. Jerome. He was a great linguist and scholar. He was around in the late 300 A.D. And it is during that time that he went and got the actual manuscripts that were that are used in the Bible and interpretted them correctly, in the meaning that they were intented. Not 1700 years later, like that 21st C. American English scholar, i.e., the "Hebrew" and "Greek" scholars of today. They do not understand the nuances intended.
There is only one truth, one Word of God and one interpretation. Those that create their own interepretations are in essence saying that God has 25,000 different truths and therefore is a liar. Recall, there is only one. The current Bible in English of the Latin Vulgate is Douay Rheims Bible; www.drbo.org
I am sure I will get flamers after my post, but as I have said before; Charity goes to the wayside when Truth is assaulted.
Blessings

God has given His Revelation in the Holy Bible. The Hebrews say in the Tanakh; the Christians say in the Old Testament AND the New Testament.
The gods of the religions are gods of wood and stone. They are unable to inspire the "religious texts" of other religions. There are evil spirits; perhaps they "inspire" them?
That is why the "texts" of different religions say different things.
God said the Truth to all who will read it in HIS book.
If you choose to read OTHER books, don't expect them to contain the same truth!

If the bible and other religious texts were the inspired words of god, they wouldn't have been left to one small group of people, it wouldn't be up to the people to decipher the words, nobody would have to spread the good word- and a god that truly wants devotion would not rely on faith alone... he'd show up for a quick talk every now and then.

Only one book has God's truth. All the others have half-truths or outright contradictions and lies.
Read for yourself with an open-mind and you'll see the difference.

Each "holy" book is the only true one to the followers of that religion. All the rest are fakes.
There is no proof. or even slight evidence that any of the 'books" were inspited by anyone other than the writers themselves.
