I will tell you I have 3 rescued shar-pei's that were all abused, They never forget, they are weary when meeting new people and my male doesn't like men obviously because a man abused him. They never forget but they do become bull-headed and trying to see if you remember, dogs are extremely smart for what most people give them, they are like children testing to see if you are going to hold them to account on something or not.
