Now I have never read the Q'uran, but as far as the Bible goes I can tell you it is more childish than awe-inspiring.

Because you still have free will.

You can love God, or ignore God.

The Bible is not designed to be "awe-inspiring", it is meant to tell us how God wants us to live, and gives us the tools for happiness in this life and in the next.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

One would think so. But consider who it was created by - farmers, herders and nomads. The New testament starts with the disciples and meanders around a lot. You'd think god wouldn't need editors.

It seems to me, that there is rarely a totally no response to the Bible. Mostly is is 1 strong feeling or another. So I think that shows it's power.

Nice question! For me the bible is not only boring, but repulsive. theres slavery,war, senseless murder, rape, incest, and all from those that follow Jehovah/Jesus too.
