What you need to do is discontinue use. Most acne washes and normal face washes use salicylic acid as one of their active ingredients. Most people, especially people who have sensitive skin, are allergic to it. Salicylic acid, especially in high concentrations, can cause the rash like effect on skin. Check and make sure that you aren't allergic to it, look on the bottle and check the concentration and make sure that it isn't above at least 8%. Anything above that is prescription strength and may be corrosive to the skin. Try using a more mild face wash. Mary Kay Velocity is good for sensitive skin and products by Neutrogena such as their Purpose line are really good to use. ;)

I don't know you, I've never seen your face and I'm not an allergist so are you allergic to the new face wash? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe it's not a true allergy but a sensitivity. But common sense would tell you that you use a product and then have a rash, you stop using the product. Knowing if you're "allergic" to it seems an irrelevant piece of information.

Stop using it and see if the bumps go away. If they do, then you know that there's something in the face wash that your skin does not agree with.

Answered your own question, haven't you. Stick with unscented soap. All the other stuff is a waste of money.
