The girl I just started dating coaches womens high school gymnastics. I would like to show support, but feel awkward showing up to the meets by myself.

It's fine and would be a good gesture to show up at a meet most likely. Other fans and parents will be in attendance as well. Just don't go too early and don't talk to her before or during the meet because that is her job, unless she initiates it.

If you feel awkward, I'm sure you can bring a friend..I mean what guy friend of yours wouldnt want to see women in their gymnastic suits running and jumping and jiggling all over the place. OR go sit close to the team so you can be in eye and ear shot of your girlfriend.

Just ask her if she would like for you to come help cheer the team on. If she says yes, then don't feel goofy about supporting your lady.

Nah... people that know you will know you're there for her. People that don't know you will assume you have a kid there or a sister or something.
I wouldn't worry. Just don't video tape the girls or anything...

No, the only one you are there to see is her anyway. She knows why you're there alone....to see her. so, don't worry about what anyone else thinks.
