I don't know why but Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee is so irritating to me. I hate her shortcuts and stupid recipes, and everything looks gross. I dont' watch her regulary, so don't tell me not to watch. I was just curious if anyone tries her recipes, are they really as good as she acts like they are? She's my pet peeve! I can't explain it!

OMIGOD!!!! THANK YOU!!! I thought I was the only one!!! lol. That woman drives me INSANE - I don't know what it is either, I just can't stand her! No, I've never tried any of her recipes, and I probably never will; seeing somebody like that making food just curbs your entire appetite. She's just sooo...un-chef-like, you know? I can't explain it, either; I can't stand her!

Her recipes aren't very good... Heck, go to foodnetwork.com and type her name into the recipe search box.
You'll see most of her recipes get around 2-3 stars.
Do a search for anyone else (including Rachel Ray, who isn't taken seriously by many professional chefs), and most of their recipes get 4-5 stars.

I think her food is pretty good looking, I've tried a few recipes myself and they tasted good.

I always thought that to be Semi-Homemade, you had to use at least 1 thing that you made yourself. Making a layer cake with boxed cake mix, store bought jelly/jam for the filling, and a tub of frosting doesn't count as even remotely homemade to me. I don't care how much alcohol she puts into the 'recipe' - and herself.
As you can tell I am not a fan, and can't even stand the sound of her voice.

I've tried a few of the Halloween ones, but im like you she gets on my nerves and most of the things that she makes is stupid looking

I haven't tried any of hers I don't like her or her show. I watch Rachel Ray and have tried lots of hers and have one of her cookbooks.
