My daughter could count to 10 when she was 17 months and was saying her ABC's at 20 months! I have been told by her doctor that she is very advanced. So I would say that 19 months is early and advanced!

As a day care teacher I;ve noticed that with constant repetition from you or the teachers, some children can pick up one the patter and do it as early as 15 months. Its admittedly a little advanced though and depends really on how far along your child's speaking is. Most 2 years get this down though. Just don't under estimated your child ,biggest mistake i see parents make!

depends on how much you work with them. My friends lil girl is going to be 2 in April....and she can almost count to 10 by herself. but everytime they change her diaper they either sing the ABC'S or count to 10 to keep her sidetracked and get her to hold still........i think its a great idea. Where as some moms dont teach their kids this early they will prolly not do it until later.
