Then why did he create Lucifer/Satan knowing all the BS and pain it would cause Him and his followers? Kind of a d!ck move by God, no?

Some of you are missing the point...If He *KNEW* Satan would excersize his freee will and be evil, why did God *Choose* to create him?

Good question. I don't really know the answer and I suspect no one else really knows either. But God's ways are not our ways. He certainly doesn't make d!ck moves, as you so call it. I've heard that Lucifer, before He fell from Heaven, was a very high ranking angel, third in command. He was beautiful and a type of worship leader. He was also given free will. He chose wrong. He wanted all the power God had. Not possible, stupid move on his part.

Yes, I believe God knew Lucifer would choose this way before He created him. But I also choose to believe that God is who He says He is and that He is completely, 100% good. That is faith. If God proved everything to us, we wouldn't need to have faith.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

But Satan wasn't created evil. Satan renounced God and the teachings He provided. Therefore, Satan was cast out of Heaven and the battle between Good and Evil began.

God created Satan has the Worship leader in Heaven...it wasn't until Satan thought of himself more powerful than God and wanted to take over that God kicked him out of Heaven along with his followers

While I certainly believe God is the creator, there is no Satan or hell. These ideas were created by organized religion to create fear and obedience, therefore control.
We all have our life's path and lessons to learn which we chose before birth. Some people's paths seem harder than others but it was still their choice. Just do the best you can, be kind, do no harm, help others and don't worry about a myth that does not exist.

The problem with these simplistic logic arguments is that they ignore the idea that God gives free will. While some say the response "It is not up to us to question God" is a catch-all convenient argument, it doesn't make it any less true.

IF God exists (which I certainly believe), his powers are so far beyond our minute comprehension that attempting to question God is a ridiculous exercise in the first place. If you don't believe God exists, isn't it even sillier to throw out questions like this? The attempt at "tripping up" Christians is ridiculous given that we as humans lack the capacity to fully understand any of God's motivations, and therefore could not explain it even if we wanted to.

That is a very valid qestion. Satan thought that he was better than God so he cast Satan out of heaven. But God also can forgive all sin and knows that either that Satan will repent or lose.

Satan was god's gift to the world to make up for his later creation of People like Pat Robertson, Adolf Hitler, that Waldo guy that people used to constantly look for, Dr. Doom, the spice girls, Bubonic Plague, Art Garfunkel, The Olsen Twins, Harry Potter, the platypus, my mother, and George W. Bush. That way people can say "Hey, at least there is SOMETHING more evil out there."

Through Satan free-will would be effected in mankind, and it is ONLY through free will that people can truly make a decision to love God. God doesn't want to be with self-righteous people who doesn't want to be with him. Everything is capable of producing some good, and God believed that it would be better for us to be fallible children rather than mindless machines always doing his will without conscience.

I disagree because just like us Lucifer had a choice. One could argue that humans have caused God more grief than Lucifer. Do you think God should not have created you?
