Pedialyte and the Brat diet is best. Bananas, Rice, Tea or Toast.
Try for a few days and call your pedi.

If he's going more than 7-8 times a day, then it would be called true diarrhea. Less than that, it's just some loose stools.
Try binding him up with foods - commonly, the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. (Stay away from apple juice - it can make diarrhea worse.) Give him any starchy carbs he'll eat. (If it would make someone on the Atkins diet cringe, give it to him!) Mashed potatoes, noodles, bread, crackers, pretzels, etc. - they all work.
Limit the milk and juice for a couple of days - they can be a little rough on a tender tummy.
Skip things like Pepto or Immodium - they can make any diarrhea last longer, and have been known to give bad belly pains.
If he goes another week like he's been with the on and off diarrhea and the BRAT diet isn't working, have him see the doctor. If you notice any blood or mucus or pus in the stool, don't wait the week.

Has he been on antibotis? My child got clostridium from an antibiotic and it causes diarreah! Take him to the dr. to find out what the problem is, but do not give him any over the counter meds!!!!! Brat diet helped my other child once from a virus! Bannas, rice, apples and toast! His ped. said his stomach lining was still irritated so the brat diet for 4 days would stop it! Clear liquids only no caffeine, that stimulates bowel movements as well as sugar!!!! Hopes this helps! The brat diet works, unless something like the stomach bacteria thing and a culture growth determines that!!!! Best wishes for you both!

Pedialight works well to help prevent any dehydration. Also doctors recommend the BRAT diet. It is Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. This is what I feed my children every time they have diarrhea. You may also want to call your doctors office and let them know what is going on since it has been a week. Also watch his diet, he may be getting too much juice or something that is triggering it. Good luck!

You need to keep him well hydrated --- I'm not sure of any medicine for diarrhea at such a young age.
Give Pedialyte or Gatorade and popcicles. Any of these things should be offered frequently to prevent dehydration.
If this doesn't slow down, I would suggest a trip to the doctor.

diarrhea is a air born virus and should wear off in run of its course. See a doctor it should not repeat so often.
Keep fluids up if possible it can dehydrate you if it last too long and a major cleaning must be done on your area bedding and bathroom... Keep doctor information handy and show you are a good clean Mom and Family...

My pediatrician always told me that if my children had diarrhea for more than 3 days to call him. I would first call his pediatrician. It could be a symptom of IBS or who knows what. Bananas are usually good to harden up stools. Good luck.

Best thing to do is keep the little one hydrated ( drink plenty of water )you can use the diarolyte hydration sachets from your pharmacist. Make sure he/she rests if symptoms persist, then take her/him to a doctor.

make sure to keep him hydrated - lots of water to replace whats going out the other end. ask your local pharmacist for any over the counter remedies. bananas work well at firming me up - maybe it would be good for him too! :) if he doesn't get well soon though, doctor time.

Try to remember what he has been eating. Maybe too much fruit or juices. If it continues, give him starcy foods like bread, rice, bananas, potatoes and check with your doctor..may be food allergy.
