Why do women care about Valentines Day so much? It seems a lot more important to them than it is to men - why is that?

Not all of us do. I see it as a day of pro-couplehood propaganda. I would like nothing more than to abolish it.

I am 100% female! I'm 24 ,I'm a mother of three,and I don't give a rats @ss about V-Day!
I got too much to deal with ,to be interested in Valentine's Day!

I guess, it's because women usually lack men's attention and as Valentine's Day is the day of love they expect men to be more attentitive then.

Valentines is the day to tell someone that you Love them, not all women are materialistic, just a small something to let them know that someone Loves them.

Isn't to me, why do you need to spend money on a gift and fancy dinner to show someone you love them. It's just another day, you should always appreciate your partner and make them feel loved on any day not just special times of the year. I guess the reason is either gifts or it's that women want to be romanced and this is the day that's everything is supposed to be sweet and romantic.

I think Valentine's Day is the dumbest holiday ever created, I've been dating my bf for almost 3 years and we don't celebrate the holiday. Last Valentine's day I got together with 3 of my best friends ate chinese food and watched Mean Girls... best Valentine's day EVER!

I dont.Its a crock. all about money, just like sweetest day. Some over commercialized day of the year when your supposed to show how much you love someone. I do that everyday.I dont need candy hearts and a 4 ft card to do it....

I could careless about Valentines Day. My sweetie treats my spacial everyday. I don't need that one day, because everyday is Valentines Day for me.

Most women feel that its the only time of year their significant other makes them feel special. They will get flowers, a gift, and be treated great! (usually!)
