Read her favorite books over and over again. When you get to words that she is already saying, encourage her to fill in the word. So she can be 'reading' too. My daughter is the same age and will say 'last', 'up', 'cars' when I read "The Little Red Caboose" There are several other books she does the same stuff with.
We count lots of stuff too and sort simple things.
Granted when she counts, she calls everything 'two, two, two' but she's 'counting'. When she sorts, she'll sort little plastic animals from little plastic letters.

You can do simple things. Put her in her high chair put cool whip on the tray and let her explore. she can feel it make a mess, eat it. It is great! Play in pudding, jello, any thing soft messy and edible is fun!
Play games. Made up ones some times are the best. Put on children's music and just dance. It can be a lot of fun for both of you and great exercise for mom!
I hope this helps. Have fun with her! She is at a great age!

Wow! This is like the most fun! You can do anything from, taking a walk and playing a little game of eye spy...inside same thing. This is also a great time to introduce your child to art, I'm sure he/she can hold a pen, pencil, brush, marker, crayon...get a large chunk of paper and let him/her go for it!! Children at this age are easily amazed by the smallest things. Something as simple as introducing 1 new thing everyday-animal,vegetable, or mineral!

I would suggst the museums or art groups. A gymnastics or activity such as to let out her energy. I go the the little gym with my little one but I have a feeling that you need some thing more advanced. I would try city sponsored things such as the zoo, the museums and local plays or musical (age appropriate of course)

i know what you are talking about. my cousin was just 9 months when she started walking and talking because her mother work with her every day. you can teach her her ABC's and her 123's. And now that my cousin is 2 years old she knows more than what a 2 year old should know. so you cam play games with her to help her learn before it id time for her to start school. and when that time come. she will be so smart for her own good.

You should visit a teacher's supply store in your area. The store will have all kinds of activities for you and her to enjoy or you could go to a craft store and get some easy craft projects to do.

Buy posterboard and let her finger paint all over it. Use cookie cutters with play-doh. Have her do simple puzzles. Open a bag of spiral noodles and let her use cups, spoons, bowls to play with. Let her stack cans of food. Name different colors around the room. Count boxes of cereal, cans of pop.... Have fun!! Kids love anything simple.
